Dr. Efren C. Gimoto Jr. is currently the Chairman of the Department of Communication at the College of Arts and Sciences, University of the East-Caloocan, and holds the highest academic rank of full-fledged Professor. Dr. Gimoto is also a Graduate School professor.
Beyond his institutional responsibilities, Dr. Gimoto is a member of the Editorial Board of the Global Science and Technology Forum (GSTF) Singapore in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication. He also contributes significantly to the academic community as a senior paper reviewer for the International Academic Forum in association with the IAFOR research center at Osaka University, Japan.
Dr. Gimoto’s expertise extends to the realm of publications, where he has published communications and policy-related research in reputable international refereed journals abroad.
Actively engaged in the local academic community, Dr. Gimoto is a member of the Philippine Association for Communication and Media Research, Inc.
Furthermore, he is recognized for his role as a lecturer and seminar facilitator, conducting enlightening sessions for educators, administrators of various educational institutions, and corporate leaders.
Dr. Gimoto’s pursuit of higher education culminated in his achievement of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Administrative Science, major in Public and Private Administration and Organizational Communication, obtained from Maejo University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, under a prestigious full scholarship program
